Natural Talent

Ronan started softball mid May. His team has done quite well so far this season. Ronan seems is a natural when it comes to softball. He has good form when it comes to hitting and he loves to run. Like all 7-8 year old boys he also loves to play in the rocks!

Budding Artist?

Ronan loves to dance. That's a fact. He's loved great music from a young age. Beastie boys was an early favourite.

He's been in the dance troop since January practicing for a dance recital this Friday. More on that next week.

Today he showed us his latest creation inspired by a canoe trip he took with his brother and Dad on Saturday where they saw 1 beaver and 50 turtles sunning themselves. The painting was styled after the group of seven.
It's a river with a beaver dam and 2 beavers. You're looking down from a mountain top.

Skating Lessons

Ronan took his first set of skating lessons this fall/winter and loved it!

He's getting around quite well now and the stops are coming along nicely.

A trip to the pumpkin Patch!

We went to the pumpkin patch this morning and rode the wagon out to the patch. We were able to pick out our very own pumpkin. Ronan chose the biggest pumpkin in the patch!

First Day of Grade 2

Where has the time went? I still remember the apprehension of bringing him to daycare the first day. Now he's a confident 6.5 year old taking off to his first day of Grade 2 with no worries.
The button down shirt was swapped for a muscle shirt when he heard how hot it was going to be; 30' with the humidity this morning.

Family vacation Part Deux!

We loaded up our car and went camping in Morin Helghts, QE on Tuesday. The camp site was nice and we arrived just in time for lunch. After lunch we tried our hand at a tree top aerial park. Ronan caught on to the clip on proces quickly and off he went. Fear creped in at the first zip line but he dove in and loved it. (Photos to follow)

After dinner we went for a walk to find the brook we could hear from our campsite. It offered lots of rocks for climbing and jumping on. In no time Ronan was following dad across the brook. He did a fabulous job. However a few wet rocks did trick him up and he came out with wet feet.

On day 2 we went to the water park that also offered rides. Ronan enjoyed the water park with dad and the flying high ride with mom. He even did a drop tower ride!

We ran out of time for all the rides so we went back after packing up our camp site on Day 3 for The Dragon and The Viking. We arrived just as the gates were opening. The Viking was fast and fun, a cart on rails. The Dragon was high flying, scream enduring fun! The park wasn't busy yet so Ronan had 4 rides 2 with mom and 2 with dad on the Dragon. The ride operator gave us 2 FREE rides! The Dragon goes 60km/hr.

A quick lunch, a brownie desert and a 2 hr car ride home to wrap up our 2 day camping trip. I think he had fun!
