Vacation in Jamaica 2011

We took Ronan to Jamaica and he throughly enjoyed the entire trip, from flying there to flying home and everything in between. The trip offered many new experiences for him including: swimming in the Carribean sea, building sandcastles, going underwater, going under the water with goggles to meeting his first girlfriend.

Becoming a mermaid...

Dinner out at a Japaneese restaurant. Ronan tried tempura, ate miso soup and many shrimp.

A walk on the beach allowed us time to explore and do some shopping in the make shift market we could see from our beach. Ronan was a charmer and was able to come out with 3 bracelets for $3.00.

The boat ride to the luminous lagoon. A natural wonder found in only four places around the world. It is very difficult to photograph. The only way to explain it was like effervescent bubbles of glowing green flowing off your arms as you swim through the water. We heard Ronan declaring that it was "so cool" and "I'm glowing".

One of the kiddie pools.

Ronan practicing putting his face in the water.

 Enjoying the beach with Mommy.

Last night, date night. After dancing Ronan invited Emma to a round of Mini golf.

Exploring the beach, examining a crab. They had him surronded so were able to get a good look at him.

Playing in the park on the beach.

Enjoying the pool with dad everyday after naptime.

Last day family photo on the beach.

Ronan couldn't leave without playing and swimming in the Carribean on the last day. He ran along the surf while waiting for daddy to bring his swim wear. What a trooper, he was getting a cold but was still drawn to enjoy himself in the welcoming waves.

Good Bye!

Last day Good Byes. The two were hesitant to say good bye.  Thankfully they saw each other 3 more times before they actually parted. Ronan was still talking about Emma when we were taking off from the airport. Pointing to the plane that we told him was going to Emma's home city and saying "That's Emma's plane".
