Big Brother

8 Weeks

5 Weeks
Here is a very proud Ronan enjoying his role as Big Brother. Declan and I walk Ronan to school each day so he is excited to show off his little brother to all his playmates when we arrive. Ronan's interest in Declan continues to grow and every day he is asking to hold his baby brother. Declan is responding to this attention with smiles and sounds (other than cries!).

Hanging with Blake

Cottage fun! "Let's have a race"

Washing hands..

Saying good-bye.. Ronan was very sad to say good bye to his buddy Blake. Blake was visiting Granny Keown and found many opportunities to visit with Ronan. I think this week the boys bonded. Blake was very concerned when Ronan cried and comforted him with hugs and wiping away his tears.

Performances

Ronan is becoming quite the performer. Here he is performing a song from the school talent show line up. As you can see we are at the cottage. Ronan found a stump that was the perfect stage.

The week after the talent show the school had a BBQ to say good bye to some children who were finishing their term at daycare. The BBQ included a bouncy castle and more performances. (Ronan's near the front in a navy shirt)

Canada Day

We celebrated Canada Day at Brockville's Riverfest. First stop was face painting. Ronan wanted to have his face painted with a maple leaf. Once he was done he wanted his dad to go. Dad was not as brave.

We enjoyed all that Rivefest has to offer including Dock Dogs, a magic show, a parade, ice cream and of course the fair. Ronan has wanted to ride a carasoul since he saw one near his school early in the spring. He told me while he was on the ride that he loved this ride it was his favourite.

He chose the white horse all on his own, lucky #10.

Fishing at the cottage

Ronan was quite excited to drop a line in the water once we arrived at the cottage. He kept going to the fishing rods and asking to get his down.

He perfected the art of the cast in about 10minutes and was happy to practice with just a bobber on the end of his line. He was very proud of how far he could cast. "Look mom! Look mom! See how far it goes!"
