First stripe

Ronan received his first stripe at Ju-Jitsu last week.after just a few short weeks he's picking up the moves quickly and having fun. I was the crazy mom with the camera! Well done Ronan!

New hiking shoes

Rain or shine we hike! Ronan learned to tie his shoes last week. To celebrate this newly acquired skill we purchased a pair of lace up hikers for him.  Ronan poses here for a quick photo on the Shoreline trail at Charleston Lake.

Climbing at a whole new level

The fear a mother feels starts from the moment of hearing the words "you're pregnant". The worries and fears change as the weeks progress. At age 5 3/4 Ronan is climbing trees over 6 xs his own height. It's a mixed feeling of fear and joy as he pushes himself to new heights and challenges himself.

Grade 1

Today Ronan started grade school. The morning started off as usual. He was very calm and did not seem nervous about the day ahead of him. Grade 1 seems like a big step but having 2 years of full days under his belt it was like old hat.

It was a chilly morning we chose a simple outfit, took a quick photo and said our good days. 

Ronan was hoping to see some old friends at school and wishing some will be in his home room. This year's lessons will be full immersion.
